One thing rings true in all my travels… The need for coffee! Even though I’m on decaf at the moment, I still want that placebo effect. I love my morning coffee. I love the ritual, the warmth, the ability to try a new coffee shop every day! Granada has so many coffee shops, I literally had to start going to two every day, just to make sure I did my “research” well enough for this post. This is the kind of work I do for you, my loyal, coffee-loving readers. Here is where to find the best coffee in Granada, Spain. (P.S. Read until the end for my personal favorite in all the land!)
Industrial Coffee
This particular coffee shop was just steps from my building’s door, so it was quite a challenge not to let myself go here daily–especially since they literally have the best mocha in town! And look at those pastries. They also have good breakfast sandwiches, so it’s the perfect place for breakfast before a day of touring. Best of all, this is where to find the best selection of other “fun” coffee in Granada, if you need a little something sweet and unique. Not every coffee shop has flavor syrups for their coffees, much less flavor combos. Definitely check out this coffee shop when in Granada!

Despiertoo
Looking for latte art? The winner in that category might just be Despiertoo! I mean, a latte swan? For real? I love it. This particular swan creation came floating in a pretty, pink mug with no handle, which made me feel kind of fancy. Iris and I went here one morning for a little “girls’ date,” complete with giant croissant, and she even got to taste a little bit of my beverage (it was decaf!). Unfortunately, I think she liked it. I might have created a very tiny coffee monster. We definitely stopped in here more than once, and I recommend you do, too.

Artesanos de Granada
Hoping for an early morning option? You want Artesanos de Granada. The majority of coffee shops in Granada don’t open until 9:00 or 9:30, or even 10:00am! As an American coffee drinker and morning person, I can’t help but believe coffee shops should open by 6:00am, or 7:00am at the latest. Welcome to Spain, y’all! But, thankfully, this place did, in fact, open at 7:00, a full hour and a half before the sunrise in January. Not only that, their display case was one of the most beautiful in the entire city. I couldn’t choose just one pastry, so I got two. Research, you know. You do not want to miss this one!

Magia Arabica
This might be one of the smallest coffee shops ever, but don’t let that fool you. Their coffee is over the top! Not only do they have an expansive menu, their latte art goes beyond pretty foam formations. This pistachio latte came with crushed pistachios, plus a pistachio syrup message on top, in addition to a latte tulip! There are a few places to sit inside (maybe 4-5 seats at two high-top tables), but you can always get it to go instead if you prefer, of course. I love this cozy, little spot. It’s also conveniently located across from Maxi Cookie, the best cookies in Granada. Just throwing that extra bit of information out there for you!

Manolo Bakes
Located directly behind Granada Cathedral, on Calle Gran Via de Colón and just a few steps down from Starbucks, Manolo Bakes firmly earns its place on this list. They have plenty of pastries and savories (including this chocolate-covered croissant), but the item that stole my coffee-loving heart was their Biscoff Coffee. Wow! Can we transport this to the States, please? I’m a fan, and I think you will be, too.

Kubik Coffee
Hoping to find a coffee shop on a cobblestone street within sight of the Alhambra? Kubik Coffee is the place you want. With a surprising and uncommon amount of indoor seating, you’ll be able to enjoy a coffee, pastry, sandwich, smoothie, and more at this understated spot on Carrera del Darro, the cobblestone street below the Alhambra. The guy working here even brought over a to-go container with water for our dog friend who came with us. It was such a great find on what is arguably the most beautiful street in all of Spain.

Mummo Cafe Bar
Okay, this is another one of the smallest coffee shops ever, but it’s truly a place where the locals hang out, and they have the authentic Spanish coffee experience you’re craving! Get the bombón, which is a shot of espresso with sweetened condensed milk. I have to say, this was truly one of the best coffees I’ve ever had. Mummo was also one of the few coffee shops I went back to more than once, and I loved that they remembered Iris and me from our first visit. Peep the amazing wallpaper, too! Very photo-ready.

Stories
What a cute place! Just off the Plaza Bib-Rambla, Stories is a bright spot in any day. I mean, if you can get a “Pink Latte,” how can you be having a bad day? This little coffee shop is so welcoming, with a porch outside that’s just the coziest, and indoor seating that beckons you to stay a while. They have fabulous food, desserts, and fun coffees (do you sense my coffee love language yet?). My favorite? The pink (strawberry) latte! Also my favorite? The Choco-cookie latte! That one might be seasonal, so no promises. I could easily have visited this one every day.

La Finca (My Favorite!)
Best vibes? La Finca. I have to say, this one is my favorite coffee shop in all of Granada–and I literally tried at least one new coffee shop every day for a month! JIt’s just down a narrow alley in front of the Granada Cathedral, small, cozy, and definitely has the coffee shop vibe you want in your travels. An added bonus? Their pastries–wow! Their variety changes daily, so you really could make an excuse to go back again and again. I also love that they have a shop for people who want to sit, and a separate shop next door just for take-away coffee and pastries. This made getting my coffee very efficient in both places. And peep that latte art. If you only visit one coffee shop in Granada, make it La Finca!
