Giraffes, warthogs, luxury accommodations, and three Michelin keys? It’s all the reality of a stay at Giraffe Manor. Every meal was over-the-top, and every bite was above and beyond. The service, though? Unparalleled. Not only do the staff take care of all your dining needs, they take the most amazing photos, especially at breakfast and afternoon tea, when the resident giraffes join in. We were sad to leave, largely because that meant I had to start cooking for myself again. I prefer a chef now. I’m ruined for life. Here is the best food we ate at Giraffe Manor.

Giraffe Manor is amazing, but you know who the real hero is? The Retreat at Giraffe Manor. This concept is above and beyond anything I’ve experienced at any other luxury hotel around the world. Many hotels offer complimentary “days rooms” or similar that you can use for an hour or so to freshen up before a late flight, but nowhere else I’ve stayed has offered a room that’s entirely ours, as long as we need it on our last day.
